Presented in collaboration with Phoenix Choral Experience (PCX) program, Humanity is an expansive musical reflection on history, connection, resilience, and justice. The concert spans global narratives, from a Filipino showpiece (Galas) and Bushman elegy (Horizons), to work rooted in women's healing traditions (To Help the Crampe). Works by Reena Esmail, Saunder Choi, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Brittney Boykin weave themes of belonging and resistance, culminating in pieces that honour civil rights heroes and amplify young voices. With a majority of BIPOC representation and living composers, Humanity is both a reckoning and a celebration of our shared stories.
