Joyful, whimsical, and just the right length for young listeners, this morning concert is designed with families in mind. From the groove of White Winter Hymnal to the premiere of Christmas Tree Farm by Carolyn Shiau, the program invites audiences of all ages into a festive world of musical storytelling. With opportunities for sing-alongs, fun percussion moments, and the classic holiday reading Twas the Night Before Christmas, this 40-minute concert is an invitation to share the magic of music across generations. Plus the addition of Vox Panacea!

A contemplative and radiant winter offering, Pacem explores peace, stillness, and the quiet strength of community. Anchored by Arvo Pärt’s luminous Magnificat and Tavener’s haunting Svyati with solo cello, the program also features a world premiere by Leslee Heys, and a vibrant mix of traditional and contemporary carols. The second half turns up the sparkle with an a cappella pop set and culminates in our traditional singing of Silent Night together with any and all alumni who are able to join us. Presented in collaboration with Phoenix Choral Experience (PCX) program, Humanity is an expansive musical reflection on history, connection, resilience, and justice. The concert spans global narratives, from a Filipino showpiece (Galas) and Bushman elegy (Horizons), to work rooted in women's healing traditions (To Help the Crampe). Works by Reena Esmail, Saunder Choi, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Brittney Boykin weave themes of belonging and resistance, culminating in pieces that honour civil rights heroes and amplify young voices. With a majority of BIPOC representation and living composers, Humanity is both a reckoning and a celebration of our shared stories.

Silenced Voices lifts up stories long marginalized voices of Indigenous people, children of war, women, the LGBTQIA+ community, and the Deaf and people with disability. Featuring powerful works like Anmwe by Sydney Guillaume and Where is My Voice by Shane Raman, the concert also includes Jesus at the Gay Bar, Joy (inspired by Fannie Lou Hamer), and a collaboration with students from the Vancouver School for the Deaf performing Bob Chilcott’s Can You Hear Me?. The result is an unforgettable evening of truth-telling, tenderness, and transformation through song.
